I wouldn't be too concerned at this point, Bill. Flying sideways U's hovering at the edge of your vision are just a mild curiosity. They can't hurt you, they don't talk back, and they don't get in the way when you're driving. They usually don't sneak around behind your head and jump out from the other side. They don't normally meet up with their friends and form inappropriate words which might cause you to laugh at the wrong time. They rarely offer directions (they almost never get them right when they do).
On the other hand, if you should glimpse out of the corner of your eye a flying sideways Mooch, you should seek professional help. There will be some publicly inappropriate slapping and/or scratching. Typically, such sightings are often accompanied by phantom images of Mooch and Bapu. Some of these scenes may result in severe psychological trauma and even permanent brain damage. You may find yourself attempting to ride a bike without a seat. You may find that you start blaming some of the more outrageous things you do on a fictional character named "Lew".
The recovery process typically involves extensive psychoanalysis, experimental brain surgery, and hearing Karyn deliver her assessment of your mental capabilities. It may not be a pleasant process, but it's better than Christmas Caroling with the Bybees.
Hope that helps.
