SOLVED - Updated Driver/Firmware | ASIO not recognized in Sonar

I finally got around to updating my V-Studio 100.
Firmware - 1.50
Driver - 2.0

Everything installed without a problem, or so it seems. However - when I opened Sonar, it could not find the ASIO drivers. I switched over to WDM and it works fine. The ASIO drivers are listed in Sonar, but they are grayed out - I cannot check any of them.

I get the same problem with 8.5.3 & X1a.

I can function fine with the WDM drivers, but I would like to solve this. Any suggestions?

EDIT: I just tried a few things, and figured I would add it to this post.

1: I uninstalled the 2.0 driver and rebooted the machine
2: I re-installed the 2.0 driver as per the instructions.
3: Same results in Sonar (8.5.3 and X1)
4: I opened Reason - it was able to see both the DX (WDM) drivers, and the ASIO. I tested with both, and they worked.
5: I opened SoundForge 9. I only shows one set of drivers for the VS-100, however it appears to be the ASIO drivers. It played fine.

So it appears that only Sonar is unable to see the ASIO drivers from what I can see.

SOLVED: As usual, it was user error.

I forgot that ASIO only supports 1 card at a time. I have an AP 24/96 that I use for Windows sounds, and I enabled that in Sonar with the ASIO driver to check it. Every time I would go to ASIO, the 24/96 was utilizing the driver and not allowing me to use the VS-100. This slipped my mind because for years I used to use the AP24/96 & a Delta 44. Since they are both M-Audio Delta series cards, they would share the driver fine.

As soon as I unchecked the 24/96 in/outs the VS-100 became available.

Thanks for the update.  I haven't gotten around to installing the new drivers yet, but I always appreciate hearing s real-world "all clear" before I do!

Twanger: If you are using the VS100 with X1 I can say it seems to work very well with the new drivers and firmware. The transport and I/O is working as expected.

This has nothign to do with the drivers and firmware, but ACT doesn't appear to be as refined in X1. I used to be able to adjust Compression/EQ pretty easily on the VS-100, but that was on 8.5.3 with the Sonitus plugins. It's not as transparent with the Pro Channel. I'm sure I just need to tweak it a little (the joy of ACT) and/or get used to it. If you don't use ACT, it won't make any difference to you.

    Good luck!

The Pro Channel hasn't been added officially to ACT yet.  I had my first crash in X1 today using ACT on the Pantheon, which *is* officially supported.  Reading your post today reminds me that I may have to go ahead and update my drivers and firmware before I complain about it!
