Odd behavior when launching Sound Forge 9.0 from X1a x64 (and S8.5.3 x64)

Has anyone else see Sound Forge ask to be registered again when launching from the Utilities/Tools menu the first time in X1a (64 bit)?  The same thing just happened in S8.5.3 x64.

I could launch in S8.3 x86 just fine.

I filled out the registration and every thing seemed to be normal again.  Odd.

    Hi Dave,
yes this happened to me as well (installed a driver for  axiom) but with Superior Drummer.  I just did a system restore and got SD back. without re registering. I'm gonna go try sound forge now. hoping all is well.

You didn't happen to install Studio One by chance?

It had a bug with the UAC (they released a patch today) - so maybe it's related if you did so.

This happened to me one time with Sound Forge in 8.5 x64. Re-registered it and all was fine.

I installed Studio One Pro but it didn't bite me. I can still access the SF10 from within SONAR x64. even from inside X1a. I have UAC switched off.

That seems to be my experience also.  I think it was more about a 64 bit host than a particular brand of host.
