Multiple ASIO Devices Simultaneously

Help!  I’m currently using Music Creator 5 and love it.  However, it seems that there is a limit in the software as to how many input devices (2) can be recorded to tracks at one time.  I have several usb recording devices (Alesis Mixer,  Alesis io 2 Express, Peavey guitar amplifiers, USB microphones).  With my current Music Creator setup I can only access one of these at a time while recording.
My understanding is that the Sonar product line (starting with Sonar Home Studio) is software enabled to record multiple tracks simultaneously.  My question is can these multiple tracks be from multiple devices as well or is this limited to multiple tracks from the same recording device?  Has anyone out there actually recorded from multiple USB devices simultaneously?  I can see all of them in the ASIO4ALL control panel, but I can only select one of them at a time as a recording device.
Thanks,

You can use only one ASIO device at a time, anywhere, everywhere. That's not Cakewalk's fault; it's Steinberg's (citation needed).
And Music Creator can only record 2 inputs at a time.
Upgrade to SONAR to use more than 2 inputs from the same ASIO-drivered interface with multiple inputs.

So is there a way to do this in Sonar with other (e.g., WDM) drivers or is there just no way to combine USB devices on Windows with Sonar?

I believe that if you use WDM or MME driver modes you can use as many as you want, but I may be wrong.
Give it a try! The computer (probably) won't blow up.
There may be synchronization problems, since each device uses a different clock.

you can use more than one soundcard using WDM (or MME, but I wouldn't use that).
however, as greg points out you are likely to have sync problems because they're not designed to work together and they use different clocks.  one of them has to be the master.

In that package the USB microphones will give you headaches, too. Your PC sees each of them as an independent soundcard. You'd be MUCH better of with normal microphones through your Alesis.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.
The benefit of being a middle aged amateur is the low number of years of frustration ahead of you.
