homestudio 7 xl deleting busses

in homestudio 7xl if you make a buss then delete it the next buss you make counts it as 2 and not 1..if you delete that bus and make another bus that bus will be called 3..so you may only have one bus..but it will be called bus 3...no normaly who would care???...you will...cause the max nuber of buses is 16 i believe..and if for some reason you keep deleting busses and get to 16,the next time you open your project,it wont let you..saying you must open this project in a software capible of handling more than 16 busses(something on those lines)...how do i know?....dont ask

    Hi Charlie

I've just had a dig around and fired up HS7 to see if I can help.

However, I can't replicate what you're seeing I'm afraid - I add a bus (Bus 1), then delete it, then Insert > Stereo Bus again and it reads Bus 1, not Bus 2.

Have you got any more details specific to what you're seeing.

    Steve

There's really no reason to delete the busses.
They are not using any resources, at least nothing significant.
If you don't want to use a buss, just don't route anything to it.

If you have an effect in a buss that is using resources, you can turn the effect off in the FX bin.

thanks steve and rob..thats one of the reasons i didnt head this thread as bug..cause your right there is no reason to delete buses..but when i first starting homestudio i wasnt furmiliar with the buss set up..so i toyed around with it..thats when i noticed..if i made a buss...deleted it..the next one came up as buss two...so i furthered it thinking..whats up with this..i no longer use homestudio i use x1 now..i figured id post it in case someone else had this problem..but as steve said..its not happening to him..so it must be something im doing..as i just opened it before hand and noticed...it still does it on my homestudio 7xl.

sorry..steve..just like i said..its weired i create a buss..then i delete it..when i add the same stereo buss to that track(or tracks)when i delete it..it comes back as buss two...now im sure no one is going to be as stupid as me and do this?...lol...or should i say never..it was more of my curiosity was asking me why..but to my dismay..i saved my project after a few more edits..and later that day..thats when i opened it and it wouldnt let me in..saying i needed to open this project on a sonar program capible of handling more than 16 busses.(dont quote me on those exact words)..anyway...i dont see it being a huge deal as who else would do something like that?..lol..thanks guys

No problems - it would be interesting to see if someone else can recreate this though.

Do you remember if you started your project from a template, or as a 'blank' project etc?
