Trouble Installing Dimension Pro w/ X1 Update.

It seems to have broken my existing install. Which I then tried to uninstall, and it wouldn't let me. Now I don't have DPro on my system, but the disc that came with X1 thinks I do and won't re-install it. :-(

I'm going to try installing from my v.1 DVDs and go from there, will update. 

Anyone else have this problem?

    update: it's letting DPro 1.0 install. I'll update from there and we'll see how it goes.

    Yep, that has been a problem for some. The trick is to uninstall the old Dim Pro before installing X1 and the Dim Pro 1.5 that it includes. Unfortunately, you can't do that now, which means you would need to remove the Dim Pro entries in the Windows registry. That should allow you to install the new version.

    manual deletion of the all the folders and re-installing and updating from the 1.0 discs worked, thank goodness. I guess the first version didn't bother looking for 'previous versions' hehe :-)
