We'll see if Spacey will make me one for Christmas! lol No, I'm not shopping. I only have this one cause we bought it for our son a few years ago and he never plays it. I'm not sure my brain is ready for 5 strings yet. lol

Well, I've been told twice in the last week that 5 strings is where it's at. I guess I have something to aspire to. Like I need something else to do and something else to buy. lol

I'll have to get back to you when I get home, cause I have absolutely no idea. It's black. Which is exactly how I describe cars (by color). lol

bapu What is this 'bass' you all speak of and why should I get one? I think it is the same instrument you are learning to make your debut on. (or is it?) Wait a minute, don't you has an Alembic already?

I think we should start a new band. We could call it" The Sweet Cow Nectar Joe Band"! All we need is a drummer for the start of a rhythm section!

Say I completely forgot about your drums! If you could play both at the same time that would be AWESOME!

The Sweet Cow Nectar Joe Band would get started but shortly Janet would realized she has bass, drums, keyboards, and then vocals at her finger tips. People will say" What do you need That guy for?" and then I will be let go to ponder the potential that the The Sweet Cow Nectar Joe Band had. I would wonder around disillusioned and confused. One day in the future with cold air at my back and and sliding door at my front I will wake up, LOOK AROUND, AND FIGURE OUT That I'm Back down IN A VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER!

Sorry, I have a bad cold and it's putting me in one of those moods. = Now that I took my cough med with codeine I feel better. Now if only my head would stop hurting along with the chills and headache accompanied by high fever, nausea and this ugly expression on my face everything will be fine! P.S. I'm told that ugly expression on my face was already there.

Janet Well, I've been told twice in the last week that 5 strings is where it's at. I guess I have something to aspire to. Until I switched to a 5-string last year, I really didn't see the advantage - now about 9 months of steady playing later, having those extra 3 or so low notes has opened up a whole new world. I've also discovered that it's handy for staying in the mid-neck positions when you're in a "flat" key. Sounds like you're having fun - that's the important thing!

Oh, I believe you. :-) Last year I got to play a few times with a young man that has a beautiful 5-string and man, can he make that thing sing. Sometimes I'd just quit playing and watch his fingers. :-)
