Q and other keyboard shortcuts

most of the keyboard short cuts I used in 8.5 have the same or better interface in X1, but there are two I really miss.

"q" - for muting a clip.  In X1 have to right click and select mute from context menu.    Just a personal preference but q is easier

and

"shift-n" for bringing up the "snap to" dialog

Am I over looking something, is there a way to get these back in X1?

Thanks all

Tom

    CREATE YOUR OWN :)

I have Q set to quantize in 8.5.3 (more logical) and M set to mute.

Dont be afraid to customize key bindings! It is a beautiful option!

The default shortcut key for clip muting is K.

    F12 snap to toggle and
shift+ F12 bring up snap to dialog in preferences
all snap to options are only a right click away on the Control Bar

Thanks all for the education - never cease to be amazed on how much there is to learn, and how willing you all are to share.

Freex - comment on control bar - yup that's what I use now- it works well - and this might sound a bit spoiled but when I'm in editing mode and am focusing in on center of the screen it's a bit of a destraction for me to shift focus to the top of the control bar, click on the snap control, then select from the list, too many steps, too far of a screen to cover, lose focus.

I know that sounds petty, but that's one of the work flow things that I've come ascutom to doing over the past few years.

    Thanks again all

I'm with you on the steps needed to change the snap settings. Pressing the middle mouse button brings up the HUD and tool bar with a snap setting that doesn't change the TV snap setting. Wish it did.
