Combined threads..

I started a thread about Roland's new GR-55 because I
figured many guitarist would be interested.
I've been disappointed with what's been offered..just not
what I want or the direction I'd like to see them take.

he "China" thread started and most of my life when China was
mentioned I'd think fireworks and cheap stuff...out of ignorance probably.
 But when I hear Sony I think Japan....so I questioned
if China does have consumer name brand that folks relate to quality.
I figured they did export quality products but was probably to manufacturers
as parts for their products...like electronic components. Stuff that the consumer
in the US really wouldn't hear about.

Even though it wasn't a question easily answered with names such as Sony
China does export so pretty darn good stuff and for a very reasonable price.
( Power tools are some and many of the guitars we play were made with those
tools)
I figure we'll be seeing more products from China and recognize their name
brands and think quality. Many of our manufacturers already know such as Corning
and consumers will too in time.

Here's why I posted this as "combined" threads. Not at all my interest in digital
guitar but I'm sure there are many that are.

Even if you're not a guitarist you may get a kick checking it out. And it's a Chinese
company.
