PRV- MIDI Edits - Difficulty streching note to exact beat

hey All

While doing midi editing in PRV, I noticed that I was not streaching midi notes exactly to beat I expected given the snap settings.

All my streaches were just a little off - this translated to each audio clip I created from this being about 1/64th to 1/32 off.

It took a bit of messing around, and setting the sanp tool to "1 Ticks" before being able to hit beat 1 exactly at beat 1, but this is a real pain.

I don't rememeber having this issue in 8.5, anybody else run into this, is this a bug, or is there a configuration setting I'm overlooking?

Thanks all

Tom

Set magnetic strength to High or Off in Preferences. I'm not sure why so many people are suddenly having trouble with this. I guess maybe because X1 defaulted magnetic strength to low...?

EDIT: Hey, Tom; just noticed your location. Where in Colorado?

Hmm.. Tom did you try turning the magnetic strength 'off' in preferences>snap and nudge?

Hey guys you set me in the right direction - but one additinal setting needed changing, that was Mode  - default was "Move By" - this did not allow setting a note exactly on a beat, there was some rounding

"Move To" and Mangnetic Strengh = "Off" works like a champ.

    Thanks guys

PS - I'm near Loveland, up north, not too far from Ft. Collins

its amazing how that works.   Seth has sent it to the bakers to look at and it will be addressed at some point. idk if it will make 1B but, I can't give an exact date when 1b will hit either. But it has been reported and it's valid enough to make the "to do list"  ;)
