Problems posting to forum from mobile device

I have an Android phone and cannot post to the forum using it. This is the only forum I've ever run into that has this problem. I've tried four or five different web browsers and there's just something about the forum code that won't let me enter any text into the Reply field. It's very annoying. I was wanting to reply to a thread many times today, but had to wait until I got home tonight.

Does anyone else have a problem posting from a mobile device?

It must be something in the forum code that freaks out mobile browsers.    Very annoying.

this was all discussed in another thread ...
seems out mobile devices don't support some of the plug ins such as Flash, etc that require it...
mr Jobs product is one in particular

the workaround is to type ur reply in a note/word app copy and paste it into the cake forum reply box

My phone supports Flash. Does this forum use Flash, though? And if so, why? There's no need for Flash for forum software, and this is the only forum I've ever had this problem with. There's no reason to get too fancy with the forum software, especially if it impedes use of the forum by people who aren't sitting at their desktop computers.

I have an Android phone so I get the benefit of trying multiple browsers. I tried the stock Android browsers, Dolphin Mini, Opera Mobile and Firefox Mobile. Firefox came the closest to working, but it still didn't work right and I wasn't able to post.

Thanks for mentioning a workaround. It should be unnecessary, but at least I know there is a way to get around it now.

Logging in doesn't seem to be a problem, other than the fact that it's kind of annoying to have to enter a Captcha every time. I'm also not aware of another forum that does that.

Yep, that's the problem I'm having. No browser that I've used is able to type into the text field.

The solution is to avoid the forum (all forums actually) from both mobile and non-mobile devices.  In fact, just to be safe, avoid all devices too.

Think I mentioned it in another thread - Cake needs to enable Tapatalk which would allow users to post from their mobile device (phone, iPad, whatever) of choice. I'm on some other forums that do that. Then again none of those other forums sue aspplayground either - they use stuff like vbulletin instead.

For iOS users, there's an App called Print Central that someone tiped me about on the forum. It cost a dollar or two but the App it self proved to be really practical to me. It has a web browser that is good for surfing and also allows posting on these forums
