VC-64, Presets sound different than doing it by hand.

VC-64, Presets sound different than doing it by hand.

In these two examples below, the EXACT same settings are used, but on one of them I used a preset called "mix sparkles", and on the other I did the exact same adjusments, but by hand. When you listen to the 2 examples in stereo you can hear a big difference, that the preset sounds much brighter etc. But when listened in mono they sound the same. I'm wondering, whats going on here? Why do they sound different when using the same plug, in the same program, well, everything is the same, except for the sound?....
When trying some more of the presets,-the same thing happens when comparing them with the ones done by hand.

    Are you absolutely sure you used the same settings? One problem I have with the VC-64 is that it's really hard to miss the fact that there are 2 eqs and 2 compressors in it. Did you make sure to select both the e1 and e2 to match the settings as well as the c1 and c2?  And also to match the routings?

    I imagine the routings alone in the VC64 can cause massive differences in the preceived sound.
