Instrument Definitions messed up by X1

See pictures below.  Top picture: patch browser in 8.5 with the search 'bass'.  Second picture: the same result with X1.  My INS file was migrated ok and Prefs/MIDI/Instrument definitions checks out.  Has anyone else had X1 wreck their MIDI patch selection process?

Have you assigned the MIDI port to the instrument file in Preferences->MIDI->Instruments?

Yes FBB, all seemed to be 100% brought forward from 8.5.
I notice that those are GM only patches so X1 knows nothing about my fully-loaded Fantom X6 even though it's fully defined in MIDI Instruments.
It seems no one is un-touched by the chaos that is X1....

Sorry this isn't much help but my XV-88 instrument definitions came across OK from 8.53. Like I said not much help but maybe a little more info for you.

I've sent the query to Technical Support.  Maybe I'll get a response...
It was the Instrument Definitions feature that stopped my jumping ship to Studio One after trying their Artist entry version, (they don't have such a feature, you have to put MSB/LSB codes in), but if this stays broken then I'm definitely off to join them.

NB: I've also wasted four hours this evening trying to get Dimension Pro up and that's an ocean-going shambles also, cf. current threads on this.

My Roland Sonic Cell ins file is okay but I don't use the patch browser, maybe that's part of the issue. Next time I'm at my DAW I'll check it out and see if I'm getting the same.
