Sometimes people here are rushing to the defense of a flawed individual because society has become PC, and overtly sensitive, just as in grade school no one can be marked with an "F" because . well, EVERYBODY has to be quasi-equal.

"I'D ;like to change the world" was a pop song from the yesterdays ,, I'd llike to change the forums/software/world to conform to MY beliefs, wishes and views...

do the dance around on egg shells, and woe unto thee that dare  bring to point the obvious

I think at the core of the problem, is that he needs to be noticed. The issue for others is this, while at times he brings up discussion, it goes not where, hence the frustration around him. He never gets anywhere. If every software he touches is fatally flawed, then what is the point.

He points out that every program is illogically written, and all basically bad. None of them fully work, but around him are literally hundreds of peole using the same software to have fun, make money, and get jobs done. It seems the fatal flaw is that he trys to make software do things it was never intended to do, and then battles everyone else that he is right and they are wrong.

Crush is most like just another regualr guy trying to make some music, but having success cause he wants things his way, and life, software, and hamburgers not withstanding do not work that way.

Every forum i have ever been on has one or two of these types, alway trying to get the developers to make fundamental shift to their thinking. Over at PG music there was a guy recently that kept clamoring for the company to completely change the path they were on and make the program be what he wanted, and the fact was they already had that path, just not obvious to him.

You can never get to a common ground with these types cause they really have no idea how it really works, they want miracles, and for the program to do it all for them!

Where is the challenge in that i ask?

Rob makes a really excellent point.  As someone who designs software for a living (financial, not music) I can tell you that it is utterly impossible to have 100% happy users.  From a product perspective you want your software to address what "most of your users do most of the time."  The need sets amongst software users are so incredibly widely varied that I often liken them to a giant scatter plot where there are clusters around mean need sets, and, invariably, some far flung outliers.  Good design dictates that your software should be like a linear regression running thru the middle of that cluster.  The outliers will be unhappy.  If you address their needs before the larger audience, you will be out of business rather quickly.
