VSTi cut-off parameter automation in Sonar X1

Hi

I an wondering if its possible to assign envelopes to parameters in a VSTi's interface, for e,g, in Ableton Live im able to assign the cut-off filter on Vanguard to an envelope on the midi track and i can either punch it in with mouse clicks or record and manually move the slider it gives me for the cut-off and it records the envelope in for me...

...can I do this in Sonar X1..?

    Well you can certainly do it in 8.5.3 - I see no reason why X1 would be any different.

    It depends on the plug-in. Some allow you to put envelopes on a lot of parameters, some not.
