Finding files in Sonar

Ok, so I decided to try out RXP with some new rex files I got.   After looking around FOREVER, I finally find where the samples are stored, but I don't want to put all my rex files there, I want to leave them in the sample folder where they belong with the rest of my samples.   Is there anyway to do this?

I tried inserting a shortcut inside the file folder, but RXP won't see the shortcut only regular folders.   You REALLY need to be able to select folders to search through (like with the VST plugin manager).

Also, ALL Sonar files should be in at most two places, the Sonar directory, and maybe a shared plugin directory.  All these files spread out all over the place is horrible.  I don't want anything in "my documents" stop placing crap there.  Or on my C drive, or anywhere else.   When I'm doing the install, everything should go into the folders I select no where else.   The install system makes it very hard to keep a neat folder system.

During the installation of X1, you are given the choice of where content files go when it asks where you want to put the Cakewalk Content folder. Inside that folder are a number of subfolders containing SONAR's content files. Those folder locations can be accessed in the Preferences dialog box. Press P to open the dialog box and choose File - Folder Locations.

I'm quite sure that I didn't pick the "my documents" folder for any files.   Although I did pick a shared content folder, and a main folder, and those are where they should be.

So, yes, I could manually go through and move all those files that are where they shouldn't be, and then manually assign locations.   But one, why should I have to???

And two, that still doesn't solve the problem with where all the plugins point. for their files.

Here's a great example. I've got a huge 1+gb folder on my "C" drive called program data filled with cakewalk stuff that's not supposed to be there.

IE Beatscape, Rapture, Dimension Pro, and a bunch of sample content.

When looking at my program options, I don't see a "program data" option.   at all.   And I'm sure if I just manually move stuff then rapture etc won't work, and I don't have any way to redirect it.

Are you saying if I do a complete resintall I can choose where this stuff ends up?  Or will it get all spread out again with no way to clean it.

During installation, you can choose where the content files for Beatscape and Dimension Pro are stored.

So I totally reinstalled everything, and yet, it still puts all types of crap in my documents, and in program data on my C drive.

    So stupid.
