Bass line is cool but it comes on too strong. Maybe drop it by -3db? I'd like to hear it with the trumpet. That instrument on the right side (after the breakdown) is lost. I'd raise it up by at least 3db. Overall it's a nice piece.

Hey David - nice mix and interesting tune. It's very colourful and summery. It makes me wanna go on holiday. I agree with Bapu - the bass could come down 2-3db - but it's nice n warm - jus too dominant and slightly fatiguing after a while. I like the percussion too - nice representation of highs and lows and i really like the snare. Nice work.

David A. Batson http://f.cl.ly/items/1w3Z2K2P2f09163B411s/Together%20At%20Last%20%282%29.mp3 This is a Song that I am working on. This was done using Sonar X1 Pro. All Vst plugs. I will add a real muted trumpet later. What do you think? David. Tones sound good on my rig here. Like the percussion and bass line...bass is a little strong, but not way too much I think a real trumpet would do it better, or either use a different sound. That kind of muted trumpet can be tricky to make convincing. Really like the guitar that just came in on the right. I enjoyed it. Nice job.

Not a huge fan of the style, but, I listened to the whole track and I think the overall production is pretty nice - very clean mix, nice work!

Very clean and open mix. It has a very catchy groove/feel through out. I don't particular care for the kick drum in the song, but that is my personal taste. There is nothing wrong with it, I just like a tighter kick sound. Excellent work, it will sound fantastic once you get the trumpet in place. Thanks for sharing, Tom

Even though I'm not a fan of this style my opinion is based more of the overall midi sound. if i were you i'd perform an experiment. Get rid of all the midi sounds, because they suck the life from your mix. Keep the bass line and the percussion and try to reord all melodies with a mic. Whistle, sing lalala, clap your hands, immitate the flutes, just use real sounds for your melodies. You have rich melodies and they are unbelievable flat because of the midi sounds you use. Just try this and your track will be great!!!

As already mentioned the Bass is a little overpowering other than that it is a pleasant tune. I suspect that a real trumpet would add a little more life to the song.

NICE TUNE! I have to disagree with the guys on the bass volume. IMHO I think the bass is fine. Experiment and try as many variations that you can think of. Soon as you're happy post it again! HAVE FUN!

Cool vibe on this. I like it. I'm a fan of bass, so no complaints here. Good job on the mix. Brad

Not much a fan of well... any synths really, but it is well laid out & pleasant sounding. I think the kick is flabby for my tastes, but that could be just me. Nice work.
