Facing Worlds, a new metal tune to love hold and cherish

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=1134602&songID=10272389

Please let me know if the low end is doing good on this one. I approached the bass guitar differently than I usually do. My ears are tired. I'm debating buy a sub to mix. It would be cool if somebody would just build me a damn studio to do this stuff in. Comments are much appreciated. Also, I had a sinus infection while singing. My lead guitarist ran the DAW for me even though I was right next to him loaded up with vicks vapor rub and no shirt LOFL!

Reminds me a lot of Iron Maiden.  The low end seemed fine in my headphones.

    Good production.

    Thanks for sharing,
    Tom

nice mix bro, though it is suffering major damage on soundclick - have a look at soundcloud for better quality mp3 playback. i can see where Tyacko is coming from, there and some Maiden influences in the ocasional galloping riff and twin lead, but overall a more modern sound than Maiden, some Machine Head, some Killswitch influences, but overall a really cool tune! if you can sing like that with a cold, you must have some voice when disease-free!

Thanks. Well, the sinus infection is a bit different. It is more of a phlegm kind of thing. I started taking some medicine to clear it up. This was the first song I did without naturally doubling all my vocal tracks. I usually just do it out of habit but instead I just used a plug in to double slightly just to thicken it up a bit. I think it came out nice. It's really hard to naturally double vocals and do a good job but it sounds good if done right.

Definitely a lot of influences here.

Yea, the 128Kbps that sound click uses isn't the best. Maybe I will check out that soundcloud. I just signed up for reverbnation but I don't have any idea what they actually encode in. I actually signed up mainly because of their facebook band plugin.
