Tascam & sonar x1

Total newb question, sorry in advance!

I recently acquired a Tascam US-1800, I'd like to use it with Sonar and/or Sonar X1.  Is this compatible?  Any suggestions otherwise?

Thanks!

So as long as I have the drivers updated, I can set X1 to find it.  Good deal, thanks for the quick response!

I have several interfaces. Yes, it does work with S1X (and the 8.xx) 32 bit windows.

    BUT:

My US-1641 crashed randomly on ASIO drivers, usually when stopping a recording run. This happened with all driver versions, from the original to the latest. And I recall, not long ago, another member of this forum reporting the same on this interface.

I purchased the US-1800 but still got the same thing if I used ASIO drivers.

I have since installed ASIO4ALL and things have become a LOT better.

In fact, I thought I had it solved, but to my dismay, it again did the same thing during a pretty important session two weeks ago. Fortunately it only did it once and I was able to finish the session.

I have tried the Tascams on 3 laptops (ASUS, Samsung, Lenovo) and it happens on all of them. (I initially blamed my ASUS laptop which prompted me to get the new Lenovo (no change), then I tested on a Samsung-no change.).

It never happens with my Edirol UA-25, UA-25EX (2 inputs) nor my UA-101 (8 inputs and outputs)

If there were any alternative to this excellent interface, I would have thrown it out long ago.
Should you be plagued by this problem, too, I recommend installing ASIO4ALL and holding thumbs.

I just got my TASCAM US 1800, kindly advise how you got it working in Sonar X1. How did you configure the drivers? Is it only via the Audio Drivers selections in the Preferences Tab, or is there more to it? I cant get any audio into Sonar. It recognizes the Tascam, however when profiled by any of the drivers, none display/pickup all 16 inputs

Same here - no issues with the us 1641 in asio or window drivers - BUT I am using vista 32 bit -
