Watson computer

Jeopardy had a computer named Watson playing today.
It was a great show.
Tomorrow they'll finish the game with the double jeopardy round.

He is quite handsome.

Here is PC mag article.

Here is youtube test match.

I thought Watson was going to run a away with it but the other 2 guys started to catch up.
I wonder is Watson getting the question before A.T. finishes reading it?

I'm curious how Watson picks a category/amount. Fascinating to watch, regardless.

I particularly liked when Watson gave the same incorrect answer Ken Jennings did just 4 seconds before.

Nah, the old people watch The Mentalist. Except it's on too late, so they have to tape it. And they have to tape it because they don't have DVRs.

Nevermind how I know all this.

Yes it did. I haven't watched the final yet, but I imagine it will be more of Rutter and Jennings looking frustrated and swearing under their breath.

Jennings gave Watson a run for the money in the final game, but in the end, the computer was too fast.
On his Final Jeopardy answer, Jennings wrote something like "I welcome our new computer overlords" on his screen. Then as the credits rolled, Rutter and Jennings gave Watson high fives, sort of, then Rutter affixed the devil horns to Watson. Jennings got behing the computer and waved his arms a la Robbie the Robot. Run Will Robinson, run!
