My Song - Inthorns(Ron Ladd) / Feedback/advice anyone ?

A mellow tune that touches on something we all know a thing or two about.
Give it listen and let me know your thoughts.
It's one of my fav's(I think).
She has soul, melody, and is even a bit thought provoking.

I truly appreciate your time & ideas.
Thanks,

Forgot to mention the female vocal.
I wanted to try something new & a lil' different this outing.
This one features Misty Monee accenting some sweet spots throughout.

This one right here, is why I write.
When I play it back, I get that 'Oh Yeah' feeling all throughout my body.
It seems the more I do this the closer I'm able to get to nailing down that noise in my head!

This is a good idea for a tune. I do hear some work that needs to be done mix wise of course everyone's ears are going  to tell them something different....so heres what mine say.

    1) the kit needs to come up a bit and it sounding a bit thin
    2) guitar needs smoothing out and a tab bit of compression work
    3) fvox is a bit pithcy at times but when its "on" its sounds great
    4) mvox a bit pitchy here and there nothing too bad but I'd work that
    5) backvox needs to sit behind the main vox so I'd pull that back some
    6) the :31 fvox whisper. I'd not have your vox trail off and the whisper happen at the same time as they steal from each other
    7) the veb @ :50 sounds like the two vox just got moved to a new (larger) room...didnt work for my ears although the harmony there seemed to be very good
    8) 1:30 lead would pull up in the mix and would try different tones would nix the fvox that soem in there or push it way back in the mix and use a large room verb but my sense is that I want the spot light on the lil riff...so I'd prolly not have it there at all

again good foundation but just needs a bit o work to bring it to the next level

    Nice job!
