mental note: Dog thinks Chainsaw is chew toy

I just replaced the fuel lines and RnR'd the carb on my chain saw.

I was on my second pull and luckily it didn't start because Go-Go our dog ran across the yard at something like 70mph and chomped down on the bar and chain.

I panicked anyways. :-Q

Mental note: Put dog in house before attempting to start chainsaw.

It helps me to remember if I write it down.

Yeah,  not good.  He could have done some serious damage and chain saws aren't cheap...

If the motor had started... I simply don't know what I would have, or could have, done... it would have been a disaster.

I feel lucky... and hope that the thoughts are well burned in to my memory.

As it is, I can't even rake the lawn with him around as he attacks the rake and bites the metal tines.... I try to move it faster than he can chase it but the activity is a candidate for a new Olympic sporting event... I get tired fast, :-) but it keeps the moobs in shape.

    best regards,
    mike

Have you thought of attaching the rake to Go-Go??

That might work... I can get a remote control toy for him to chase and do the whole lawn that way.

I may be getting back to you for some wiring advice!

You should give him an X1 box to chew before pruning the trees.

He got A's at obedience class... the wry rascal. He knows lots of hand signals and tricks.

We just bought a shock training collar and it is working wonders... we've only shocked him twice and it has a warning beep.... it' caused  a huge change in his behavior and he gets more hugs and pets now that he doesn't bite us every chance he gets.

After I used the saw... I treated him to a "chase the hose water" game... which he enjoys immensely.

That's too funny. For a second there, I thought I was reading one of Bubba's posts.

We didn't like the idea of the training shock collar but after we got it he changed his behavior immediately.

We felt we we're out of options.

    It's turned out real good.
