When is the EASY Pro Plug-in comming?

I'm getting frustrated.
Making/Creating music and producing/mixing are totally different from each other. Stating the obvious.
It's too easy to get side tracked with all the features X1 or any other DAW has to offer.
I heard a pop in the front of a clip and bounced it down and used the trim tool....pops gone. wow, Mr. Engineer
I find my self playing around tweaking with all the tools available and not staying on task. I don't want that.

When will the professional plug-in be made to make it easy to mix down a project? (This is a joke by the way)

Until then, does having a project already completed (data in tracks) cost less to produce than say going to a studio and starting from scratch?

Doors opened,

No doubt recording used to be easier than it is now I just used to roll up and play until I got it right.

Now I can spend an entire day just choosing a sound for a particular drum if I'm not careful.

It's nice to have the capabilities at hand to do every job in the home studio including being the writer, every member of the band and the production crew but sometimes I just yearn to merely play my little part.

Maybe next time try zooming in, apply a quick slip edit, and drag out a very very short fade.

    Total elapsed time 20 seconds.

    Moving forward.

The best part is that you can drag and drop a drum *sample* with boat loads of hi-hat bleed and then use the built in Pro Channel to place a monster hi-cut on it and then maybe a low cut to eliminate rumble, and then use the ol *76er to make it loud and then add some saturation to the hi end you cut to make it phatty and flatty.

And... you don't even have to waste valuable time loading a plug in cause it's all built right into X1 whether you like it or not.

Let's see the Abelton fans do that... I don't think so!!!!

There's no better way to wow the visitors.

I would guess having clients with X1 makes life easier/harder on the console side?

is that a good aaaaaaaaagggggggghhhhh or a bad one?

    :-)

If you're saying you really dislike doing that much work... fly in to Tally town and we'll fix you right up. You can be a musician and I'll be the techie and I'll do my best to keep the process transparent for you.

I'm only partially serious... I stay busy enough as it is... but maybe you do want to have some hired help so that you can make more music.

I think the current de emphasis on collaborative work flow involving multi disciplines and the novelty of one-person-band uber-genuis workflow has some terrific downsides.

It seems like you are confronting them.

The tried and true producer - engineer - artist trinity is a great system.

I wish you all the best with your music!!!

    best,
    mike

Bad, but in a good way.

I can play music, know midi, but weak in production.  One would think with the software/hardware available on the market today that professional audio houses are going to be busier than ever. Especially with folks turning to music as a means of stress relief.

I'm with Jonbouy, In my day, just hit rec on the reel-to-reel and forget it. Maybe have a second R2R to Ping/Pong for delay.  Today....it can be overwhelming.

EASY PRO (PLUG) = Eddie Kramer.

I had to do it since Eddie does not plug himself.

Thanks Bapu. Just googled him as I'm not familair with him.

Beagle had mentioned when I 1st joined that Cakewalk holds local events time to time.

It would be nice to know who the local talent is in my area.

My intention was to let folks know that there are some of us that would just prefer to pay someone instead of making a career out of trying to get a mix right.

Since there will not be a plug-in or a magic button to do it, getting a master would be be farmed out.

If a project is done in Sonar X1, would a audio enginner have a different rate since it's already compliled versus starting from scratch?
