Stay Free - rock v 2 warmer ac guitar, more bass

Hi there!

Long time no see... I took a break from music for a while. Some inspiration hit me a when I tried an electric guitar. I am not much of an electric guitar player but "Gurano" added some on a second one and there is sort of duelling in the end. I guess you hear well known influences. I have some ideas of lyrics for this one but until then it stays instrumental.
Best,
Mikael

I like the feel of this - I'd like to hear the acoustic sounding a bit warmer in tone, but that could be 'cos I'm listening on laptop. I'd be interested to hear this again once you've done the vox.

Thanks paulo. I agree about the acoustic guitar. I don't know why that is. The guitar is new with a solid top compared with the one I had before it sounds better live but not recorded. It looks like the strings, Elixir, which has a coated layer against oxidation produce a colder tone.

very cool song..but Paulo has it dead on...the guitar is damn near raspy...warm that sucker up...

also dig the B3 and that tone of the lead is killer...

Hi Mikeal, interesting tune this, nice. Like the guitars but as Paulo mentioned the acoustic could sound a bit warmer. Are you using the polyweb or the nano web Elixers? I always found the polyweb sounded very dead. I like the d'Addiorio exp coated strings better but imho nothing beats a fresh set of phosphor bronze strings after a day or so of playing.

    Greetings, Rik

This is a very cool tune.  Nice job on all instruments..  It seems with all the other instruments so full, the bass could have had a bit more bottom.  That could be personal taste, though.  Really a well played song.

Really nice content very enjoyable listen, I have to agree that the acoustic tone is a bit thin. Still an enjoyable listen.

Janet, notnat, Scotty, twisted6, thepoge, ohgrant: Thank you great people for those nice comments. I hope to put vocals on this and there ought to be a lot of changes.
    Warren:
I'll check the bass spectrum. I know you're an expert on this. Thank you kindly.
Rik: I'll change to the regular D'Arrios I had before I think. I will also check the low middle range and see if I could do something eq-wise there. I do want the the ac guitar to sound warmer...

The bass stands out nicely on this, not buried as in a lot of songs. Excellent.

The B3 sounding organ was a nice touch too.

What a great blend of instrumentation and I just like the whole composition itself.
