Realtime recording

I'm using Calkwalk PT4 and I want to record a backing track from my Iphone via Alesis I/O2 and then layer track on to this. I have done this succesfully put it plays back at a different tempo, I just want to record in "realtime" but can't find out how to do this. Please help  Chris
