I'm not sure what you're trying to do. I have automated a few of my synths in the past using a midi control envelope. Most synths are able to be automated. If they have a "W" in the synth window they are automate-able. You might have to look for the "W" but it's there in most of them.
I don't work with automating synths too often so I'm not 100% sure about Kontakt... but I'd almost bet it's there. When you find the "W"... turn it on, by clicking on it.... it turns RED and you're set to go......move the faders in playback and that will create the envelope, then you can easily edit it using the nodes.
ADD: I loaded K4 and yes... it can be automated. Notice the RED W in the upper right corner of the K4 window. I clicked it to turn it on for this picture. Once it's on, all the tweeks and knob twists should be recorded as an envelope which as I mentioned above, should appear in the track and be totally editable with nodes.
