Kirnu - cool FREE arp plugin; can't get it to work in Sonar
Hey guys, I just downloaded this very cool new FREE arp plugin called Kirnu that was announced by the developer on KVR earlier today, but I can't get it to work in Sonar, so I was wondering if anyone else here could try it as well. Of course, I also wanted to give you guys a heads-up for this very cool looking plugin: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=4429192 I've tried it in both X1a and 8.5.3 with no luck - both as a synth with MIDI output enabled and selected as the input on the target synth, and as a tempo-based effect in the target synth's effect rack. I'm probably just overlooking something obvious (I hope). When I run it as a synth with the MIDI output enabled (the same way I run e.g., Artillery 2, etc.) the MIDI signal is not reaching the target synth's MIDI input for some reason.

OK, so upon further exploration, I've gotten it to sorta work by inserting it as a synth with the MIDI output activated and Kirnu selected as the MIDI input of my target synth (i.e., RP Blue, in my case). For some reason it won't let me send MIDI to the target synth by just playing my keyboard - I have to send data from a MIDI clip. And, if I try playing my keyboard at all, then the MIDI clip also stops working, but I can get it working again by re-selecting Kirnu as the MIDI input on the target synth. Weird.

It's not a MIDI plugin, so it should just show up as a VST Instrument.

This looks like a cool plugin, but maybe not ready for primetime yet (at least not in Sonar).

It showed up in both X1 and 8.5.3 for me. Just make sure that you're looking for it under Synths (i.e., not FX or MIDI FX). I hope you get it working because it's a very cool arp and probably one of the best freebies I've found in a long time. BTW, thanks to a fellow KVR'er, the keyboard issue I had is solved. You have to enable Input Echo on both the Kirnu and the target synth's MIDI tracks. It's still a bit fidgety, but it works.

still get nothing here with both kirnu and midi track input echo enabled. tred with kirnu in the fx bin and the synth rack as well.
