"Stonewall" solo acoustic guitar by Morenoise

Hi all, have a listen to "Stonewall" : http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=10304280

I "composed" this piece years ago while watching the Ken Burns documentary "The civil war". The idea was to depict a cavalry charge. This recording is about as close as I can get it to my original idea, although this has slightly more fluffed notes . Only took me 10 years to get this far so in about another 10 years I can play this as I hear it in my head.

Greetings, Rik

Hi Mr.Larry, thanks for the compliment. I just loved that documentary, especially how evenly balanced both sides of the conflict were portrait. The use of personal letters gave an excellent insight of how  actual people were affected by the war in stead of the usual focus on battles and generals. Don't know how Mr.Guitar would have reacted to this guitar butchery, maybe a wry smile or a shake of the head.

I think Mr. Guitar would approve, sounds great.   Like the picking....  In addition, you nailed the vibe you were going for so a winner all around.

very nice ! I like the way the songs speeds up and slows down !! Nice to hear stuff not been recorded to a metronome-it definately adds a lot to the feel, makes it more spaced, and open. Thanks for sharing !

Hi Kev, thanks for listening. I like the comment about the metronome, had a lot of trouble turning it of in X-1 .

Hi Ioannis, this piece has gone through many combinations of the different themes and even this version was originally almost twice as long but that would probably to much to ask from the casual listener. Thanks for listening.

Very well played Rik, especially as you drove into the faster tempo.

I like the reverb you have on it.

Hi Larry, thanks for listening, glad you liked the reverb, I usually put to much on it. I used lots of reverb on the di'd guitar track and just a hint on the mic'd track.

Hey, Rik I remember you!!  You're a picker!  Hot licks, my friend!  I can't concentrate on the content of the composition because I can't believe your pickin' skills.  Wow!!!
