    Welcome to the forum!!!!

on your left, where you have the inspector you have the track properties window. just make sure that the midi input of the synth you want to control is set to your controller.

    sincerely,

the easy check also is beside the windows clock on the bottom right, you'll see a piano keyboard with 2 lights.. if you hit a key and it lights ,then your getting a signal..

duno about that unit, but it's "midi" midi... or midi over usb ?

Interesting. I just came here to post about the same issue. My Yamaha KX8 is on and is selected as the input midi device for the track (been using both omni and Yamaha KX-1 omni) but I'm getting no response from the keys. The board works fine outside of Sonar, but nothing inside.

I think I might have to give Cakewalk a call about this tomorrow morning.

can you see the signal??if you can and you think its routed properly click on the engine next to the now time..sometimes this lets the signal flow..its been working for me lately,as midi has been acting a little wiered on my end.

I have no signal either, which makes the issue even stranger.

That's why it's odd. Sonar sees the board in the preferences and it's all setup properly, but it won't actually get signal from it when I want to use it. My Novation board works just fine with it, so not sure what's going on.

Just got off the phone. We deleted the TTSSEQ file from the roaming folder and reconfigured everything. Apparently you have to press OK and exit preferences to actually use a controller in X1 where as I could keep it open in 8.5 and it would work fine. Not sure why that is, but it works now so I'm a happy camper.

I've got the same problem with my MPK49. Sonar sees it but doesn't get any signal. Where is that "roaming folder"?
