Trying different pick ups and guitars

Hi all -haven't had much time here again lately but thought I would post a track up as it's been a while!

I have been trying some new active EMG guitar pick ups in a couple of guitars.
I always stayed away from these but I have to say that for rhythm they have a real clarity.
Also used them on the wah guitar which again has a certain very defined tone +the benefit of less noise than conventional.

Anyway the track is called "Big Guitars"

Ben, good to see you. I've always been a big admirer of your tone and playing, and this tune proves no exception. I played through those EMGs in an ESP at a local store and was impressed by both the clean and crunchy tones. Very well balanced pups. And you put them to good use with some superlative picking here. Nice pinch harmonics. Terrific rhythm guitars. Solid mix. Well done.

    Ben,
Glad to hear from you.  I'm with Mark, I've always enjoyed your stuff.  I've been looking at a couple of guitars with EMG actives thinking that I'd like to see what they sound like.  Which are you using?  EMG81?

Nice tune, very fun and the tone and clarity are great.  Good stuff!

Well, I'm with Mark and Tony.  :)  I've always enjoyed your stuff and this is no exception.  This is another track that makes this ol' piano player jealous....that wall of sound is a little hard to accomplish with a keyboard.  At least I've not been able to do it.  lol  Love it!
