UA-1G 'suddenly' not being detected

Hey everyone,

Just started having issues with my UA-1G, which has previously worked brilliantly via my laptop. USB Audio interface was unplugged from laptop and upon re-connecting , Windows 7 no longer recognised hardware as 'UA-1G' and Guitar Pro 4/ Sonar 6 LE does not pick up as an input/ouput anymore and thus cannot play/record guitar through interface. However, other media such as music etc is able to be played through speakers via the interface. I tried un-installing/ re-installing drivers but had no luck in fixing the issue this way and am unsure as to what other solutions I could try.

Am very new at all this stuff so ANY help would be much appreciated!!!

Like Jumbicat posted, the first thing to check is to make sure the advanced driver switch is on. What driver more are you using in your recording software? Is it your intention of using the UA-1G as your computer's default audio output?

If you see that the advanced driver switch was off, and turn it on... you have to unplug the UA-1G and plug it back in for any changes to take effect. That is true of any changes you make to the UA-1G switches.

    Thanks guys!

Yeah advanced driver switch was turned off, plugged it back in and had errors in installing driver automatically. Does this mean i should re-download more current driver and see if it works then?

The current drivers have been around for awhile so the most important thing is to make sure you have the one made for your operating system. If you are having trouble with the driver I would try uninstalling it and then reinstalling. Keep the UA-1G plugged in until prompted to disconnect it.
