Anyone tried the LT-USB with X1?

I'm finally ready to upgrade to Lynx converters, and was always planning on getting the AES16e for my main DAW and LT-FW for use with my laptop. But if this new LT-USB works well, that will certainly be the more practical solution. I know RME have done an amazing job with their USB version of the FireFace, so am hopeful that the LT-USB performs almost as well as the AES16e.

So if you've had any experience with this unit, or have some info, that would be great. Especially as there were initially some probs with the Lynx drivers with X1...

I'll have three fingers of Glenlivet, with a little bit of pepper... and some cheese.

Well, I've still not read anything, so I've decided to be the wood-duck - ordering mine today! Should receive it next week, so I'll report back here in a week or 2 and let you know how it's going...

Good luck, James.  Let us know how it goes.  I know the PCI interface works, Lynx had some problems w/ FW, but haven't heard nothing about their USB.

I guess it's fair to say USB is more generic / more straight forward and easier cross format,  thats why some makers went that way and dropped pci etc.

Hi guys, finally received my Aurora 16 with LT-USB card. I'll write a full review on the weekend and post, but initial impressions are...brilliant! No hassles with Sonar and excellent performance - at this stage, I'd say don't hesitate in buying. More later...

Those who would like to read my review of the Lynx LT-USB can do so here: http://www.grizzlystudios.com.au/news/?cat=3

Bottom line - it's awesome and works great with Sonar X1b!
