Dan Dean group buy
To celebrate the launch of dandeanpro.com Dan Dean has a group buy for ten days that if enough people commit will result in 90% savings The deal is very interesting, check it out at http://www.dandeanpro.com/group_buy/ I've already signed up but my only grudge is that I never reached any site to pay, if/when you sign up please let me know when you find out how to pay or if one only signs up and later will recieve how to pay...
Sadly very reduced studio equipment as it is... ASUS G750J, 8 gb RAM, Win8, Roland Quad Capture.

musicman100 I think I read PayPal only Payment must be made via PayPal only. (PayPal will accept VISA, MC, etc.) For more information: http://www.paypal.com Buyers must provide their name, address, email, phone and "digitally sign" that they are committed to the group buy and provide their Paypal info. We will be using the Amazon S3 computing cloud for downloads. Although it is very fast, potential buyers need to consider download speeds and times. If you have a slow system (like a dialup service), it could take a long time to download 5 GB. You will receive a set of download codes at the finish of the Group Buy based on the number of paid subscribers. There will be a separate DL code for each one of the products in the attainment level. This will make the DL process easier, by keeping the DL's smaller.

At the risk of asking a somewhat pissy question, are these a different animal to the Dan Dean bass library that was so heavily discounted not long ago? That set required an awful lot of work to do anything usable with, and had very limited (perhaps even non-existent) velocity switching from what I remember.

I was thinking the same thing. I bought the Dan Dean Bass library and ended up kind of disappointed. It was ok for the price I paid, but if I had paid the "normal" price, I'd have been pretty unhappy. It looks like most of the packages in the group buy are "lite" versions....so they may be lacking in various features...you might want to look into it to make sure.

Well I went and (only marginally) perused the site and didn't see any audio demos of the differing libraries offered in the group buy. I have to agree with the above posters. I got the Bass library...and it was a true "no-brainer" price but it seems limited, outdated and only marginally useful. I imagine the rest of the library is the same. Does anyone know where there are audio demos of the things offered??

Are these the same versions that were released years ago? I have a few giga versions of the lite collections. Some decent samples but don't really use/ need them any more since vsl, kontakt etc..

We decided to get into the free stuff sooner with the Group buy. At 105 subscribers, you get the Solo WW's for free. There's been some discussion on the site about the DDSSA. Keep in mind that there are some really powerful features in the library like: ensemble presets, divisi keyswitching, legacy programming, all-in-one instruments, custom RI's and TI's that make the DDSSA sound like some of your favorite libraries and so on. The next price break is at 150 users and the next free library is at 300 subscribers. http://www.dandeanpro.com/group_buy Thank you! DD
