BitBridge and NI Dialogs

I like NI synths, but I'm running into issues managing all the windows, and message boxes are hiden

For most projects I'll run multiple instances of Kore2 which is 32 bit.

When loading an X1 project with Kore2 synths in it, the synths sit on top of the X1 interface and will not go into the background.

The only way to get them to hide them is either drag them to the bottom of the screen, or to minimze them.

Minimizing them has the added pitfall of they do not recall with a double click on the synth (or effect) in X1.

I've also run into issues where confirmation dialogs for NI synths are behind both X1 and the Synth UI, the only way to access the message box is to click on the task bar, then right click on msg box and select move. I've posted this up on the NI msg boards, but have not recieved any feedback.

This is really frustratining. Curious is anyone else run into this?

Is this a problem with bitbrige?  Is there a Win7 setting to change this behavior? Or is this a NI problem?

Uggggg

Thanks all

Tom

Yes, I beleive it to be a Native Instrument issue.  Reason I say that, running Guitar Rig in stand alone mode, the pop-up is behind GR gui.  Sonar isn't even loaded.  It's something NI needs to fix.

BitBridge windows are always on top of other non BitBridge windows unfortunately. SONAR Plus fixes this so that they behave like other non BitBridge plugin windows. If you're interested, see www.sonarplus.co.uk.

Ah, though I have not done the sonar "plus" this makes sense.

@OP, just so you know, regardless of host (reaper as well) the bit bridge is a pain when it comes to windows. They don't dock, but in fact, it is preferable that they minimize. Sounds odd, but that really is the best route with the bitbridge (in reaper, they just disappear into the background and you have to either click on the "fx" bin or if you haven't hid it, click on the taskbar.

    Complicated? you betcha!

You should really look into jBridge. It doesn't cost a lot, and it makes your 32 bit plug-ins behave in a more normal fashion. It doesn't work with everything (but neither does Bit Bridge). I've used it on a few different NI products including some of the older stuff like the B4. For me the ideal 64 bit rig has both jBridge and Bit Bridge.
