Compression in a song

Some time back I had a song with some serious compression issues....


it looked like this




I recently went in and lowered the compression levels and it's not a brick anymore.

 You can hear the results of the lower compression levels in the song forum....SAY WHAT

    I remember that historic post! Still works, don't it! I have to admit, Herb, you've dressed it up well! It sure looks like a brick to me. Can you post the after one as well? When I get a chance after work I'll check it out and see if we can't formulate the difference in compression ratio!

    Tap... the brick is gone ..... I turned a few knobs and made some adjustments and it looks and sounds so much better....

    Say What....  in the songs forum will let you explore the intricacies of this little jewel.
