Resonating moobs and other things...

In another thread I asked bapsi at what frequency his moobs resonated.  that reminded me of the 70's when all middle income and even upper/lower income families had a "belt massager" in their home to help them reduce weight.  (yeah, right, like that was really gonna work, guys!)

I remember it would always have a setting that would make your skin "resonate" - I could just see the moobs shaking now!

anyone else have one of those?

My dad used to (try to) sell those things.  Niagara was the name of the company.  I've been looking for a guinuine Niagara Belt Massager photo but I can't find one of the belt massagers.  here's one of the more popular and less expensive heat massager units (and it looks EXACTLY like I remember it!)

he also could sell a massaging chair made with guinuine naugahide.  - it was the most expensive of the set!

I don't know, but I suspect that if you're using a belt massager to vibrate your moobs, either you're wearing it wrong, or they're hangning so low, you might as well give up.

Before we rush to revisit the wisdom of the 70's, let's recall for a moment the complete and utter horror, the unmentionable despair, and the inhuman monstrosity that was disco.  [shudder...]

There's a reason we were forced to flee that decade.  I'm just saying.

You think John Travolta used one of those belt massagers then?

I remember hating disco.  Then it went away.  Now we have rap and hippy-hop.  They won't go away.  Oh, how I miss disco...

Too true...  I was a DJ between 1980 and '84 having to play disco while at the same time I was in a rock band... Talk about conflicts!  It wasn't until many years later that I could appreciate disco and probably for the same reasons you mentioned (I can't stand rap!).

Actually a Google search returns this result from a forum

I do. The moobs hit resonant frequency at 68mph, now that the weather's better and I'm riding in a T shirt with no screen.

but no one has listed what that frequency is...hitting it at 68mph just says what velocity someone was travelling in a vehicle which was not calibrated to a steady ride at given velocities causing a resonance at certain velocities, but what is the frequency of that resonance?

    If I remember correctly doesn't 1 Mooch4056 = 1 Lew?

Asking questions of that sort leads to Long Talks with the Principal and missing recess.

    What's the frequency, Kenneth?

My Aunt Margaret had one of those belt massagers in her beauty salon in the '60s.

Moobs, boobs, flesh, fat. Muscle, hard muscle, soft muscle, fat and muscle. Mineral content, magnetism, circulation, focus, inertia, supply and demand, the weight of your head on Sunday. What's it all got to do with what timbre your body's in?
