A-800 in X1 Can the A-800 control bus volume?

Is anyone out there using a Cakewalk A-800 or 500 or 300 PRO keyboard with X1?

If so, then do you know of a way to allow either the faders or rotary dials on the keyboard to control bus volumes and not merely track volumes?

Anyone?

Not sure how ACT works with track view, but have you tried giving it a spin?

Aside from setting up a controller via ACT, you can always map the fader to a remote control on almost any controller.

People forget that "Remote Control" is always available, and as a quick method, it works well.

    You basically use MIDI learn.

I don't have time to go into a long explanation, but if you look up remote control in the reference manual, that should get you in the right direction.

You can also do envelopes as another approach.
