Undo Tempo changes

Hello,

I searched this forum, but couldnt find a straight answer.. and I am sorry if this is a very noob question, but just starting to produce with Sonar X1 (luv it btw)

Is there a way to not make any tempo changes?

For example, I start making a track in the default 120 BPM, but while working on it,  I change it to 140 bpm somewhere in the track, for whatever reason. Sonar now saves this tempo change at the new clip/new point: so in the beginning the track starts with 120 bpm, but then changes at one point to 140bpm...

I dont want Sonar to save any changes like that, is there an settings-option of some kind to make sure u dont save the tempo change in clips and just keep one tempo for the entire track?

So i just want one tempo for the entire track, even when I change it to a BPM in the middle of the track that is more to my liking while Im still working and saving clips after I changed the tempo.

I hope its a little clear what I mean and that someone can help me out.

Thanks in advance!

Had you clicked the Help file open and searched for Tempo you'd have gotten the answer about 55 minutes ago. I assume the Tempo View is in X1 as it is in 8.5.

There's 1500 pages of info about using SONAR in the pdf-guide..

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

From main menu go to Views - Tempo.  This will bring up the tempo map for the whole project.
On the far right there is a listing of tempo changes. From what you describe there should be a 120 at 1.01.01 and a 140 at some other point.  Click on the 140 entry and delete.  You should now have a straight line for the whole project again.
