the Beatles: Facial hair... Good? Bad? Maybe?

I'm watching the "Composing the Beatles' Songbook" documentary on NetFlix and I started thinking about the Beatles' facial hair... is it Good? Bad? Maybe?

They should have shaved, had sensible haircuts and got proper jobs.

    That is an excellent link.

I had noticed the hair was coming and going and it wasn't just a linear chronological progression.

Now I have a time line to refer you when I get confused.

    Thanks!

    best regards,

Are you suggesting that it was their facial hair that made their music good?  Is it possible that the lads were just tools being used by their facial hair?  If so, could we use them on Katie_Katie's Smart Tool thread?

Not necessarily as simple as merely having facial hair.

It seems like stumbling upon the proper combination of who had facial hair, where, and when that made it all happen. Yes? No? Maybe.

Is this the first you noticed their hair?  who's going to be the one to mention they broke up?

It didn't show up in the mp3s

I mean, I thought I heard a rustle once or twice but I figured that was just the hi-compression settings.

I have my own facial hair. Does that count? Or doesn't it?

I remember in 1964 when I grew my hair like theirs.
I remember when the Abbey Road LP came out and
thinking, wow they grew their hair like mine.

    Duck and cover....

Our government never bothered warning us about the bomb until the '80's but by then they knew we weren't stupid.  We were told to remove a door, lean it against a wall and put sandbags on it an then get underneath that it at least.

What struck me was that footage of Hiroshima didn't show very much left that you could lean a door up against.  It must have been OK though because Margaret Thatcher would never have told us anything that wasn't in our best interest..

Yeah, but "Relax" wasn't the best choice of song to convey the message.
