Now what have I done?

So I've made my custom list of shortcuts and taped them up for easy reference.
Problem is in trying something along the way I can't get my smart tool to work...I now have a plus sign (+) and what looks like an envelope with nodes icon.
After getting frustrated I finally closed out of X1 and re-opened but it's still there...what the hell did I do?

    That's still the Smart tool. You just put the track into automation (envelope editing) mode. Hover your mouse over the track and click the middle button (or press T on your PC keyboard) to bring up the Tools HUD. Then click the control in the bottom left corner of the HUD and choose Clips from the menu.

    That is the Edit Filter control. You'll also find it over on the left in the list of track parameters. It controls the type of data you want to edit in each track.

    I hate to put things off until the last minute Scott but things are a little tight right now...can you tell me when the special price will end...will there be a warning or does it happen immediately after release?
