Paul Oakenfold's engineer discusses X1
There's a new artist profile at the Cakewalk site - here's text from the email I got this morning: "TC (aka Spitfire) has burst on to the Los Angeles producer’s scene with as much spark as his name. Hand-picked by Paul Oakenfold to be his main engineer, Spitfire brings way more to the table with his writing, producing chops and musicianship. Once being grinded through the major label system as an artist, Spitfire has found his calling armed with SONAR X1 and a V-Studio 100 where he is producing, writing, mixing, remixing and engineering musical masterpieces for such artists as Usher, B.O.B., Madonna, Britney Spears, Leona Lewis, Lloyd and Rico Love just to name a recent few." But the poor guy looks like he might have had another day of crashes and wrestling with bugs, and is waiting for X1b as anxiously as the rest of us! caption: "ARRRRRRRGH! Gimme my X1b!!!!!" Randy

Haha TC is a good friend of mine. He is really good with Sonar. I went on tour with him all over Europe and the States. He is a good guy. Crazy thing is, when we actually met years ago, we were both Sonar users and both right up in the mix here in Hollywood, in the middle of all these Pro Tools guys haha. I was like, dayumm, we're not alone TC! Woohoo!!!

Brando LOL! (In the spirit of equal time reporting, some of us have not had crashes with X1 though) Hi, Brando - Actually I'm in that group who's never had X1 crash. It's *other* things about the current X1 which make me go "meh"-- But looks like TC might've run into Something that's making him tear his hair out. Randy

10Ten Isn't The Villages in Miami? The Villages is closer to Ocala. You may be thinking of Century Village which is a bit north of Miami. <edit spelling>
