Advice on fresh install

New user to Sonar here.  Could use some advice on installing X1 producer. Do I set up my computer for  audio first? Download X1a right after I install X1?  Don't want to make any mistakes from the get go. Any tips would be great.

I would set up as you describe. Set up your computer for audio? System specs would help here. I would dl the patch now because you will install it as soon as you have X1 installed.

The only advice is watch every install screen and read them carefully. Be sure you install all the VSTs and DX plugins. Don't use a default but check each part to be sure you are getting everything. Only hit OK when you know you have it as you want it.

If you have more then one HD and can use it for your songs (projects) and samples do so. The rest is fine on the system drive.
