X1b fix list : Multiple clip selection bug fixed?
Does this X1b fix: "Fixed an issue with selecting Clips in Track Folders" or this fix: "Fixed an issue causing only the first Clip in a Folder to be Selected." fix an issue when selecting multiple clips by "lassoing" them, if the selected clips overlap other clips it also selects the overlap section of the clip not intended for selection and also doesn't highlight the whole clip that is intended to be selected? This selection process is a major part of my work flow so some clarity would be appreciated.

I reported that awhile back, attached with a video , When I call support at that time I had no answer as if its a bug or not, Support could not at that time reproduce it when I was on the phone thats why I attached a video. The work around is You cant lasso multiple clips if the clips are at different length's , One track at a time thats it..

This totally screws up my workflow too. It's literally like Cakewalk is made by a team full of application developers who are not working musicians. Otherwise such an awful and preventable oversight would not make it into a release.

I was given the same impression by Brandon, I'm just panicking a little because I don't see this specific bug on the fix list and it's March. It seems like it's a bug that would get high priority. It's important that I get my sugar coated overly commercial pop songs completed so that the world in it's entirety will know the spirit of David Cassidy has not been forgotten  .

In X1b, the following steps:
1. Place Clip A and Clip B on the same track so that they are partially overlapping.
2. Lasso Select part of Clip A that is not overlapping with Clip B.
Will produce the results:
1. Clip A is selected in its entirety.
2. Clip B is not selected at all.
I hope this clears things up a bit!

How about the opposite...
Let's say you wish to select both Clip A and Clip B with one grandiose sweeping gesture while using the select tool?

And what about multiple clip selection, in other words if I lasso select 3 background tracks (say tracks 1,2,and 3) but each are overlapping other clips on their respective tracks will only the clips I touch be selected? I'm usually selecting multiple clips for copy and paste when performing this function.

i have issues with selecting and moving clips in tracks with multi lanes. i submitted a report as well. i lasso the clips and only some get selected. very annoying.

I'm a little lost are you saying thats how it will behave with the X1b update, or are you saying thats how lassoing works? Cause in x1a it dose not. Thanks John
