I have had cakewalk from version 3 up to sonar x2.

I have a windows7 64bit pc.
I have a frontier alphatrack
It is on ebay as i type.

Look elsewhere and you will see major problems with the alphatrack and sonar x2 on win7 64bit

The alphatrack was great but it has wrecked one pc already and ive given up on it.

Ive tried all the tricks installing the drivers while wearing just one shoe and drinking a glass of water while pressing shift etc etc.

The compatibility has been lost.

It works ok with x1 but try to run it with x2 and you will have problems i believe.

I had 
problems getting the alphatrack to respond.
Pc rebooting itself, 
was working and then suddenly stopped,
Would stop responding when i used the mouse on a plug in,
Would not let me shut the pc down cleanly if left plugged in,( caused 'windows did not shutdown properly, run in safe mode' errors)
Would not always boot cleanly if plugged in,
Etc etc

After having removed all traces of alphatrack drivers/software/hardware from the system my pc now runs fine.

Hence alphatrack has had its day in my studio
