how do i alter the tempo for one track only?

i have a number of tracks recorded already, guitar, vocals, etc etc,
i've just created a new track and inserted addictive drums as i want some drums in the choruses of this tune.i recorded all the stuff so far in my own rhythm(ie-no metronome)as i wanted the song to sound loose! if you get my drift...whether this was wrong i don't know.
so anyway i've dragged a clip in from addictive drums that i like but it's slightly fast,is there anyway of slowing it down so i can sync it better?
please help,pleeeease.........regards

you don't - at least not with "tempo"

you can use audio snap to line them up, tho.  but tempo is project based, not track based.

You could move the clip or timing by settings tick offset(I think it's called something like that).

Or you can quantize midi easily. But then you might loose the 'loose' about it and have to use the humanize features, but your personal touch gets lost.

Or you might use a midi effect and process placement(I'm not at my daw so I don't remember the options you have).  If I remember right you can move the selected notes by a percentage.

Or you might make CAL script that that does what you want, but it's not the easiest thing. But you would be able to move stuff without loosing the your feel.

Just a bunch of ideas that came up...

You might benefit from setting up a tempo map which your Midi tracks can lock to.

Insert a Midi track and use it to trigger a synth with a really short, percussive sound.

Now arm it to record, hit 'R' and with your project playing, tap out the rhythm in time to your freely recorded audio tracks.

Play it back and manually drag any hits which aren't exactly where they should be.

    Now comes the interesting bit.

Enable Audiosnap and get it to build a tempo map with reference to your 'tapped out' rhythm track.

Now, any loops or grooves you insert into the project will follow the tempo map and everything should be in sync.
