Console View screenshot please

Hello

Sonar user here but still using Sonar PE 7. I would be most grateful if someone could post a screenshot for me of the Console view with the channel strips not narrowed in Sonar X1

I like the Console view in Sonar 7. Its my favourite view. It works for me as its straightforward and easy to use and I can easily see where everything is.

I am a little concerned about reports that the console view in Sonar X1 is not as clear as it used to be. I would have to see it to make up my own mind.

I dont like the track view so much in Sonar 7 so I will be glad to see a new design for that and as for the Piano Roll in Sonar 7 dont get me started. The Piano Roll in Reason or FL studio is far easier to understand than in Sonar 7 so I hope the Piano Roll view in Sonar X1 has been simplified and being made more user friendly.

So if someone could post a screenshot I would be most grateful.

                                                                                                                                    Thanks Steve

Hey there Steve, how's it going mate?

These screenshots are from my 22" widescreen monitor, at 1680 x 1050 (max) resolution.

The first is, as you requested, with all the strips widened; the second shows a few instances of the (excellent) Pro-Channel open.

    Hey Steve,

Thanks for the screenshot. The console view seems fine from what I can see from here. I am copying this screenshot now and will study it in detail tomorrow. I do remember some comments though about the Console view as mentioned in my orginal post. Anyway thanks for the reply.

    Hi Larry,

Thanks for your post. Very good. What is your opinion of the Console view in Sonar X1 and what are the differences between the new Console view and the older version?

This is important to me as I work mostly in Sonars Console window.

                                                                                                                   Thanks Steve

    Hello A1MixMan

Thanks for your post. Yes it certainly looks good in that screenshot but how does it measure up compared to the older version or are there any real differences? Was there any changes made to it in the Updates? Did I read in some posts that some text was not showing very well in some areas or maybe I picked that up wrong. I thought I read somewhere about someone complaining that you had to narrow strips to see everything.

There's been several changes made to the CV for X1b. I personally really like it.

Thanks for that. Ah I see there was problems but they addressed them in the updates. Thats cool. I am buying a new Latptop in the next couple of months so I will update to Sonar X1 in the early summer and leave Sonar PE7 running on my old Laptop. I think thats the best way forward for me.

---such a wild mix of colors, those glaring candy red sliders, murky yellows, off-pinks etc---yikes - Sorry, this isn't the color fix for me.  The boring brand-X blandness of X1 looks better to me than this.

The Dark Side mod reminds me of Star Wars for some reason. Reminds me of those computers and control panels they used on the Death Star.

hehe--I get that.  Reminds me of a bowl filled with mixed candies.  It's fun looking in its way, but not what I'd want to look at all the time, and not what a professional software company would want their program to look like, not since the mid '80's anyway.
