    Whoa.... to you ...oh...earth and sea...
    for the devil sends the beast with wrath.....
    because he knows the time is short.....
    let him who hath understanding.....
    reckon the number of the beast.....
    for it is a human number...
    it`s number is.....
    666

    So if JESUS rose from the DEAD
    Does that mean he`s the ORIGINAL ZOMBIE?

    Great lead work on this track. Mix sounds nice and clean. Lots of different styles in this song so it kept my attention.

    Thanks, anything specific about the intro or just don't care for it in general?

    Thanks, glad it kept your attention. I'm trying to get a handle on these mixes so any critique is appreciated. No studio here basically ITB/ headphones.

    This is great Carl. Had a bit of a Genesis "Down and Out"  from the "and then there were three" album. What guitar/s, preamp did you use for the rythym and lead? It's got a little Tommy Shaw attitude in it. I really enjoyed this.

    First, like the song.

    Second, when the regular vocal comes in, it feels kind of abrupt.   Maybe a bit of fader work.  We're not talking about a lot, just a couple of DB's that could be faded in.  So it's not jarring.

    Like the guitar solo.

    Feels a bit indistinct in the bottom (to be expected if you are on headphones).   A touch of EQ could help.  Maybe define the kick a bit more, and give it some oopmh.

    Thanks,

    Mathew

    Again I'll check out the kick & low end along with your vox suggestion.

    Thanks rhynobyte,

    The solp is a jackson dinky, for rhythm it's a strat, tele or paul. All through a Digitech GSP 2101.

    Wow, I actually hear the Tommy Shaw too.  Very good playing on this.  I'm not a big fan of the intro either...Shorten it maybe?  It is interesting just seems to be strange enough but too long.

    The whole mix feels just a tad squeezed in my ear buds.

    The best part was the bridge before the lead where the sound level dips (below the threshhold of the compressor?).  IT opens up real nice here.  Try for this sound through out and the song will sparkle nicely.

    I think it would have sounded better in 8.5.3...

    Too compressed, but the song kicks ass. Thought it was a NIN tune, but then the guitars came in.

    The kick need some pop; felt it kinda, but couldn't hear it.

    Great song!  I agree that it needs some kick and maybe stronger drums.  Love your guitar work.

    Thanks jamesyoyo,

    I redid the drums, less comp-kick eq'd.

    v2-->here

    I think alot of the problem for sounding compressed is actually my bass gtr playing & too many layers, eq in general...

    Thanks for the suggestions & comments. I may cut the intro if I release it on iTunes.
