Quick question: Is there a way to move multiple track simultaneously?
For example, if I have 100 tracks in a session and I want to move tracks 98, 99, & 100 to the top and make them tracks 1,2,3 is there a way I can move all three tracks at once w/o having to move each one individually. I know there must be a way but I just haven't come across it yet.

In Pre-Sonar X1 days, you used to be able to CTRL-Click on each track and drag wherever, now that feature is gone or I haven't found a way to do it yet. Hopefully someone can explain.
It's not what we're doing, it's how you do it :)

Clik then drag the cursor over the the tracks to be moved to select them. Then hover over the group and the cursor turns to the move icon. Clik and drag the group to wherever you please.

If you go to "Tracks>Sort Tracks" and sort by 'selection' and 'descending' the selected bottom tracks will end up at the top of the track list but I can't see a way to drag a group of tracks anywhere you want.

I couldn't get that to work Middleman. Is there any other key you press?

I should have added, you have to create the space for the tracks first. Sorry about that. Once you create the space you can drag the tracks into those space. Use the shift key to keep them aligned.

Ah, click and drag the track, not the track header - nice.

Another round the barn method would be to export the group, then import it.

Or put the tracks in a folder and move the folder?

Ok, I guess there's no actual simple method as in Pro Tools where you can just select the tracks you want to move and hold alt and move all the selected tracks at once. Oh well, I guess I can use some of the roundabout ways suggested here. Surprised that such a simple/basic feature hasn't been implemented into Sonar. Guess I'll submit a feature request. Thanks for the feedback!
