Hidden ProChannel PC4K Compressor VU Meter Graphic
I just stumbled across what appears to be a hidden alternative VU meter graphic for the ProChannel PC4K compressor. Have I just missed this, and everyone else already knows about it, or have I found something new? If so, I challenge you to find it! You can enable it using something within the ProChannel compressor. First person to post the solution wins... er... kudos! If everyone already knows about this, or it's a well known feature of this type of compressor, then let's pretend I never posted this. Edit: Removed the question mark from the subject. Was a hidden 'easter egg' after all (see below).

close your eyes, click your mouse buttons together three times and say "there's no place like home!"... and if that doesn't work try Rome, or Nome - I forget which it was now!

I thought there was a bug where the meter for "4k" only swaps out with the "76" meter when it feels like it. Is there a 3rd meter design?

Simple . . . turn the adjustment screw at bottom of compressor meter then click on the meter screen and it lights up to a pretty blue color. Will

musicman100 and how do you "turn" the adjustment screw? Like adjusting one of the knobs. Click and hold, then move the mouse up or down until the 'screw' changes.

OK I found it out , but I also notice that if you click on the 1176 or SSL logo on the meter, a set of brackets surrounds the text. DOing that on the knobs allows you to adjust the knobs, but I dont see anything that responds when the brackets are around the logo names..

Not sure what purpose having brackets around the text serves? As you say, doesn't look like you can do anything with it.

I think they simply forgot to turn off the ability to shift focus to that particular GUI element (probably just a text box). Cheers, Peter.

mcdoma2000 That being said, any idea when the skin editor will be ready? This is my best guess at the moment: 1. First beta version by the end of the month (with limited skinning capability). 2. Full version by the end of April. No promises. I have a full time job and a young family to contend with!

Skin Editor will support all three VU meters... Wow, that Skin Editor is gonna take SONAR X1 to another level and it appears to be very well done and thought out. I thought REAPER was king when it came to skinning, but having a bonafide SONAR specific skin editor might well put X1 on top! Reaper does not have a skin editor, as everything has to be done by hand and trial and error and is a laborious process. I have a feeling this could be a very popular add-on. I think Cake may need to create a new forum for all of the mods/skins related posts. REAPER has one called "Color Themes & Icon Sets" and has become one of the more popular and interesting REAPER forums. Cheers, Billy Buck
