Tiny Little MIDI Notes in EZDrummer PRV View

This is probably easy but whenever I drag in a MIDI clip from EZDrummer the MIDI notes are so small they can't be manipulated. Is there a way to get them larger? A selection I missed?

(Or do we need a new MIDI tool? - kidding - kidding - really.)

But really would like to know about the tiny notes.

Humbly Yours

2 things come to mind the Microscope and or Zoom. Perhaps one or the other would help Larry. If those don't work you could select all and change the duration.

You can use a drum map and change them into diamonds.  It was the early midi libraries that suffer from this mainly.  Usually drum samples aren't affected by note length.  However, someone, later suggested to them that it would be easier to grab the notes if they were a bit longer in duration.

Do I have use a drum map EVERY time that I use an older EZ MIDI clip? Man that SUCKS! This was rushed! End of the universe!! Oh wait. I guess I'll await an answer first.

That might be the easiest thing but every time? Every Clip? Can't find a drum map for EZ. Must be right in front of my face.

Select the clip and enter a duration of 60-120 in the Event Inspector. I think that's about as simple as you're going to get.

Most folks just log in to Toon Tracks and download their free SONAR drum maps.

There are lots of advantages to using drum maps each and every time you use a MIDI drum track.

Although having access to all that editing power may cause you to get persnickety about the finer details of the PRV tool set.

There are lots of maps available on the Toontrack site.

Once you log in there is a user contributed area. Some users, included Dave (Mod Bod) uploaded maps for most (if not all) of the kits. Grab what you need.

EDIT: In the moment it took to write this, looks like the same answers were already given.

I've been logged into the Toontrack site but can't find any user area or drum maps to download. Feeling lame.

Check your Sonar Preferences > Folder Locations
There will be an entry for Drum Maps.

You can either drop the drum maps in that location - or you can point this to a new folder on your hard drive and put them there. If you do the latter - you may want to go to the old location and salvage a few of the old maps.

There are a ton of maps in that location. Doing some housecleaning is not a bad idea to get rid of the things you will never use.

Don't fix it in the mix ... Fix it in the take!
